Replaced a vent. Had to remove the dapper as there was poor construction by the builder. Found these. You cover the entire vent & air cannot get through. They work wonderfully & I highly recommend them if you have a vent that needs to be completely closed off during the warm or cold season. Used these on the floor & wall. Sticks like crazy & keeps air out.

Ordered 8x12.5 - previous cheaper magnetic covers simply fell off when the hvac kicked in. These fit nearly perfectly (slight bump at vent lever) and sealed strongly along all edges. No whistling, tight seal.

They seemed very sturdy and had strong magnets, but I ordered the wrong size, thinking they were all the same. So I had to send them back. I'll reorder once I get the ladder to the 11' ceiling in the bedroom. Sometime this year, probably. I can move the lever to ostensibly shut off the airflow to the room, but the existing vent cover just whistles really loud when I do that. Holding out hope for these covers.

I have used the thinner magnets to try to seal off vents and they were ok. I needed a better, more effective solution and found these. I did have to cut out a square for the vent control tab, but this was pretty easy. These things seal great. No hesitation to recommend.

Magnetic vent covers direct forced heated air where you need it. But they also prevent cold drafts around fireplaces and other connections to cold air outside.

These were exactly what I needed for two of my bedrooms. The air flow through these rooms needed to be slowed or shut off completely and these covers did it wonderfully for those 4 x 12' vents. These magnetic vent covers allow you to completely or partially shut off the vent. Heavy duty, and will last a long time.

I did not cut a slit for the lever on the vent I just pushed around it and it formed to it. Works perfect. Great seal I can barely hear when the air is on and it's definitely not coming out. Exactly what I need since everyone else in the house likes it toasty at night and I want cold.

This did exactly what I wanted.The magnets are strong and well affixed, so I haven't had to think about them since I put them up 2 months ago.There are less expensive options on amazon. From whatn I can see, they don't have the thickness around the edge that makes this fit snuggly over the lever that opens and closes the vents on my ceiling.

These are Great .... Strong magnet hold .... Reasonable price for the Quality .... Very satisfied with this product. I am an Allergy/Sinus Congestion with headaches sufferer. Although I was partially raised in the country woods of Louisiana, I can't stand cold AC central air blowing on my head. After trying two other styles of vent covers I was surprised how well these worked.

I bought these magnetic vent covers because I had a long vent that was making the whole apartment drafty and miserable. The two-pack arrived in a nice box that had simple instructions, and overall worked for my needs. It's really important before ordering to heed the listing's warnings about making sure your vents are magnetic and the right size, as these are only designed to work one way.The magnets are indeed strong enough to hold the cover upside-down against my ferrous vent covers, and strong enough to work with my painted vent covers. There's one magnet per corner, this larger set of covers have an additional magnet in the middle of each long side. I did find one vent that was non-ferrous so it of course wouldn't attract the magnets, but you can't win 'em all. The kit also comes with a pair of thin, ferrous strips for each cover which are used to help seal up any possible fit issues, I didn't have to use these but it's nice that they are included, attached to the inside face of each cover.The materials seem a nice quality, rubbery but sturdy. The sides are quite thick and have cutouts for the vent louvers and the control lever on my vents up to 4mm deep; they're flexible enough to fit light warping in the face of the vent. There's also instructions on cutting a hole in the top surface to accommodate a larger lever, although I didn't have to do this. The flexible main face is thick enough to insulate against that drafty vent no problem.

This product's cost was higher than other similar products. However, it has magnets attached inside that adhere it to the vent so the vent cover cannot move! Those magnets differentiate this product from everything else on the market. It works perfectly!

My roommate and I argue over the heating in the house too often. Her room is icy as it's an addition, and mine gets so hot and stuffy. These 360º powerful magnetic vent covers are perfect. Strong and sturdy. They really attach to the vents and provide the exact coverage we needed so we could both be comfortable at night.

The unit I live in was built in the 70s and perhaps vents had different sizes back then. I bought the smallest cover I could find that covered the width of the vent and because of the lever that's supposed to open and close the vent (that doesn't work) the cover extends several inches past the end of the vent. Luckily the part of the cover that does cover the vent works great.

The best vent covers ever! No cutting, no guessing, etc. Just measure your vents and order the size needed. It is just that easy. And best of all they stay up and work!

They're definitely more heavy duties than the ones I've ordered in the past. Little on the expensive side but they look like they're really going to stick and do their job. Just trying to keep the heat from escaping from my ceilings during the winter.

I've tried numerous vent covers over the years, usually just to have them fail right off the bat. These are the only vent covers I've used that actually work. First of all, the design is great. Rather then the usual. plat, rubbery magnet covers, these actually have well designed cutouts, to accommodate for the vent's hardware, so you're not getting any raised areas, and the seal stays totally tight. Since these are secured with actual magnets embedded in the cover itself, the covers stick on tight, while still being easily removable. Haven't had any of them fail, and they really do a great job or blocking the airflow. Finally a vent cover that actually works. Easy 5 stars!

These work as expected and look just fine. The only problem I had is that I did not realize that not all the vents in my home are different sizes. I ordered the smallest size because that was the vent I measured, but the vents I needed to cover are a bit larger. I am able to make these work, but I am sure if I bought the next size up it would work better. I will ultimately get them, but for now these are working. They have a good amount of magnetism without being ridiculous.

This made a huge difference in balancing my HVAC system! I had a guest room that simply would not warm up until I got these. Now, it stays the same ambient temperature as the rest of the house just by using these to regulate the airflow of 3 overpowered vents. 10/10

I got these for the floor vents in my Motorhome, which are a very odd shape and a size not commonly seen. One of my vents sit's flush into the floor while another is raised a cm above the floor. These vent covers FIT PERFECTLY, the magnetic seal is impressive and super strong, and will NOT fall off even if upside down on a ceiling or wall. The entire cover is a solid magnet, not just at the corners. so the seal is fantastic. The instructions that came with the covers give very detailed instructions on how to carefully cut out and customize the vent covers to accommodate different styles of vents. For example if your vents have a raised wheel for changing the direction of the dampeners, or if your vents have unique locations for mounting screws etc. The rubber material that comprises these vent covers is super thick and creates a great seal after you screw your vents down with screws. OH AND THE BEST PART, was how easy it was to install these covers. Took me less than a minute. The covers came with 4 full color, well drawn instructions on how to carefully cut and adjust the covers (if needed) to fit your unique vents design. Easy to understand, easy to follow and a friendly personalized letter with instructions on how to contact customer support if you have questions. I highly recommend these covers. Just pay close attention to the size chart and be sure and measure your vents and assure they are magnetic before purchasing. Once the covers were install and I turned my furnace on, the covers kept an excellent seal, the magnets held the covers tight against the entire body of the metal vent. Which increased the heat and air output of the other vents in my motorhome that were not covered. Doing precisely what the product claims which is increasing the air output of other rooms by eliminating the air output of the covered vents. The inside of these covers provide a good amount of space and room to allow vents with high raised tops to still allow the covers to seal all the way around the vent itself. I was very impressed.

I've seen flimsy vinyl, magnetic sheets that didn't really adhere well. You know just from handing the package of 3 of these...it has some heft, so you know right out of the gate, it's going to be a sturdy product. The most labor-intensive part of this whole production is in measuring the vents so that you get the proper and most effective size. After that, it's so simple that you really don't need instructions, although those are included, should you need them. It is literally unwrap, and hold it up to the vents and the STRONG magnets do their work. You are done. Enjoy not sweating gallons in the middle of December.

MEASURE YOUR VENTS! these aren't just flat magnets. They have a couple layers to have a bit of decor to them after put down. If you have vents in your floor, these are a MUST. We use them on our RV floor vents. They're magnetic enough to not get kicked off easily. Definitely way more impressive than I expected.

This magnetic vent cover is very strong. The magnets really stick. Be careful when you are measuring that you get the right size because you're measuring the register and you're trying to get it to fit inside the recessed area on the bottom of this vent cover. I've seen other ones that are just one flat magnet but this has a little recessed area where the register fits inside of so measure carefully and you won't have a problem. Because the magnets are really strong, it really prevents the air from getting through it. This is really going to stop one of my vents from leaking and help my electric bill and keep the rest of my house warmer.

I have ceiling vents and these work great. They have a strong magnet. They stick securely and have not fallen since I placed them. They block air from escaping. These are highly recommended.

What I really like is these covers are very well built and the magnets are super strong. When I placed the covers over the vent the strong magnets drew the cover tight onto the vent. The sizing chart is accurate and I wasn't sure when the vents were on would they whistle...they do not. I do not feel any air movement so they do what they say they do. Highly recommend if you want to eliminate any air flow coming from a vent.

These magnetic covers are nicer than I expected! They are thick, they stick well to the vents, and they are easy to wipe clean. I had no problems getting them to stick to my vets and they really block the air well. I really like being able to block off the air in unused rooms. Very nice and they do exactly what they were supposed to do.

My husband chose these to close off vents in our house to control the flow of heat or air. He immediately took these out of the package when they arrived and covered vents upstairs to reduce the amount of heat on that level. They work immediately and are effective as they completely cover our vents. And, the magnet provides such a strong hold that even my Dyson didn't move them today when I vacuumed! These are great for a multi level residence!

So our vents are a lot bigger then I thought when I ordered but I just put two and they worked just finemy husband gets hot very easily and our bed is right below a ventbut our kids rooms get very cold at night so I have to run the heat for themand even just closing the vent doesn't helpthis has been a savior to him - he hasn't complained one time since I put those up

I have a few ground vents that don't work well, and these vent covers are perfect for covering them up and preventing air from blowing out. They were almost the exact size of the vents and the magnets hold the covers on tight. They are made of a thick material that feels sturdy and I'm impressed with how well they stay in place when the air is blowing.

I live in an apartment that has one room that is very warm and one room that is cold. This fits the vent easily with powerful magnetic hold. I can block all heat from the warm room or adjust it to let in a little heat if needed. Hopefully it will help even out the heat in all rooms.

My only complaint is I waited so long to finally get these! This is a perfect need in our house and it works great! The magnet is super strong so it holds in place nicely! In our home one side of the house gets most of the air, hot or cold, while the other side stays mediocre. Now that its colder and we have the heat on, my bedroom gets ridiculously hot while the rest stays cooler where the thermostat is. This product blocks off one vent where too much heat was coming into my room and cooking me while I slept! Since I'm at an age where I continue to have my own "personal summers", this product is a life-saver! They come 3 to a pack so its a great investment and I highly recommend them!!

Didn't know these existed, but we live in an old drafty house and got them to control the airflow a bit better. They work as expected so far (just got them a few days ago).

These attach firmly to the register and are excellent for stopping airflow. I'm using these to keep the heat out of rooms that I'm not using and boost the heat flow where we need it. So far, I'm pretty impressed!

I have tried different magnetic covers that claim to be extra-strength, but these are the first ones I've found that really do stay on a ceiling vent. The combination of magnetic sheet material and extra embedded magnets work well.My vents measure 7.5" x 11.5". I ordered the 8" x 12.75" size, they fit perfectly and make a good seal.

Product is as described. They even include small metal plates to help really seal things up if needed.We had previously used duct tape to seal off a register that was causing problems in the utility room. See the before and after shots.This cover is a bit thicker than the super thin magnet covers I have used in the past. Will stick up a bit if using on a floor. Ultimately, does what we needed it to do. Would recommend.

I didn't know that Vance are different sizes. So I ordered these and then as I was reading the exceptionally clear, outstanding instructions, they pointed out that they are different sizes. So what I ordered covered half the vent. I just used two (see picture) and it works perfectly!The instructions are so good they should be the textbook manual to other companies for how they should print their instructions.Although it's kind of a no-brainer! Clean off the vent and slap the cover over it. If your vents are aluminum pure in trouble, as no magnet will stick to aluminum. Ours happened to be steel, thank goodness.I took one of the magnetic fence out of the box and out if it's cellophane wrapping. Since our events are on the ceiling, I was curious as to just how string the magnetic pull really was. So I tried it out on our refrigerator. Yowsers!! That flexible magnetic vent cover reached for the refrigerator door and stuck! Do you don't half to put these vent covers over your vents- Just get close enough and the vent covers will do the rest. He's super well-made product with excellent instructions which does exactly what they say it does. Just be sure and measure your vents first (which I forgot to do!).

Its way better than just closing the dampers - there are always drafts with that. These really seal. Just be sure to measure and get the right size.
