You just stick the thing on top of your vent. The only con is that there’s no packs of 1 or 2 available for sale. I only needed 1 cover and now left with 2 extras.

This cover has lived up to its name! Well worth the price! Don't waste your money with cheap covers. Get this one and be done with it.

During the air conditioning months some rooms in our house gets freezing cold compared to other rooms. These vent covers are exactly what we needed to prevent that from continuing to happen. Once we put the vent cover over our vents it completely stopped the cold air from coming thru the vents. Not only that, the backside of the vent cover as you can see in the photo has depth too it and cutouts to fit the vent lock on the vent cover on both sides of the inside. Therefore, if your vent cover lock is on the right side or the left side it will fit perfectly. Not only that, there's even some additional strip padding to fit on the side where your vent cover lock is so the lock doesn't penetrate thru the cover. They thought of everything with these vent covers. It's the best ones I've found. I'll also be using these in the winter because personally I'm a hot box, therefore, I don't need much heat in the winter so my bedroom vent will be covered. If you need vent covers for your vents these are the ones to purchase. You'll be happy you did and not sorry.

I tried a cheaper alternative and the magnet was not strong enough for a ceiling. Even adding stronger magnets on top didn't work well because the air still seeped out. I looked all over Amazon to find something better and this was the only thing I could find. I was turned off by the high price but decided to give it a try. They are definitely well made and solve my problem, but it's hard to justify the cost. I hope they consider lowering the price so I can buy more.

I initially had those thin, flat, magnetized vent covers in my cart. Then I realized that the flat ones do not stop airflow. The vent groves stick up just enough to let air out the sides. So - the flat ones don't work. I found these and decided to give them a try. They're great.They arrived quickly and were nicely packaged.Initial testing and I can't feel any air escaping. Maybe it does, but I can't feel any. Much less than just closing the vent covers (they're a joke!)An added bonus is they they'll keep dirt and dust from dropping into your vents!I bought 3 covers for my ceiling mounted vents. I will experiment with closing different rooms off to save AC. They're easy to remove, yet remain fixed to the vent. I'm also planning on installing these in my travel trailer.And! The 6 page instruction manual is clearly written by someone fluent in English.All in all - I'm very pleased with these. I'm happy that I bought these and not the flat ones! Great value and I'm hoping for a large return on my investment.

What I really like is these covers are very well built and the magnets are super strong. When I placed the covers over the vent the strong magnets drew the cover tight onto the vent. The sizing chart is accurate and I wasn't sure when the vents were on would they whistle...they do not. I do not feel any air movement so they do what they say they do. Highly recommend if you want to eliminate any air flow coming from a vent.

My only complaint is I waited so long to finally get these! This is a perfect need in our house and it works great! The magnet is super strong so it holds in place nicely! In our home one side of the house gets most of the air, hot or cold, while the other side stays mediocre. Now that its colder and we have the heat on, my bedroom gets ridiculously hot while the rest stays cooler where the thermostat is. This product blocks off one vent where too much heat was coming into my room and cooking me while I slept! Since I'm at an age where I continue to have my own "personal summers", this product is a life-saver! They come 3 to a pack so its a great investment and I highly recommend them!!

They actually stick to ceiling vents!
I have tried different magnetic covers that claim to be extra-strength, but these are the first ones I've found that really do stay on a ceiling vent....More
I have tried different magnetic covers that claim to be extra-strength, but these are the first ones I've found that really do stay on a ceiling vent. The combination of magnetic sheet material and extra embedded magnets work well.My vents measure 7.5" x 11.5". I ordered the 8" x 12.75" size, they fit perfectly and make a good seal.

Product is as described. They even include small metal plates to help really seal things up if needed.We had previously used duct tape to seal off a register that was causing problems in the utility room. See the before and after shots.This cover is a bit thicker than the super thin magnet covers I have used in the past. Will stick up a bit if using on a floor. Ultimately, does what we needed it to do. Would recommend.

I didn't know that Vance are different sizes. So I ordered these and then as I was reading the exceptionally clear, outstanding instructions, they pointed out that they are different sizes. So what I ordered covered half the vent. I just used two (see picture) and it works perfectly!The instructions are so good they should be the textbook manual to other companies for how they should print their instructions.Although it's kind of a no-brainer! Clean off the vent and slap the cover over it. If your vents are aluminum pure in trouble, as no magnet will stick to aluminum. Ours happened to be steel, thank goodness.I took one of the magnetic fence out of the box and out if it's cellophane wrapping. Since our events are on the ceiling, I was curious as to just how string the magnetic pull really was. So I tried it out on our refrigerator. Yowsers!! That flexible magnetic vent cover reached for the refrigerator door and stuck! Do you don't half to put these vent covers over your vents- Just get close enough and the vent covers will do the rest. He's super well-made product with excellent instructions which does exactly what they say it does. Just be sure and measure your vents first (which I forgot to do!).
