I got these thinking they could hold up a thin plastic door cover on a metal door to help reduce cold air intrusion. The magnets are so weak, they won't even hold plastic onto the door. The magnets to stick to the door by themselves... barely. I ended up using small rare earth magnets that did the trick, so I know it isn't the door. I also tried them on a dry erase board at work and they barely stick to that as well. But they don't hold a piece of paper to the board. 3 stars because they are listed as "strong" magnets, but they are not.

I originally got this magnet strip to see if it was strong enough to work as a border for my robot vacuum. Strong magnet strips can keep these vacuums from going where you don't want them. Unfortunately, this magnet strip is not strong enough for that.HOWEVER,It is good quality. The magnet works well on the fridge to hold a whole line of school notes, calendars, and other important papers. This is thin enough to be cut with regular kitchen scissors.The only downside to this strip is that it comes rolled, and due to how thin it is, it took quite a while for the strip to flatten out. It wanted to curl away from the fridge for a couple days so I had to leave it on the fridge flat, without holding anything, to get it to flatten, then could add papers underneath.

I use it on my whiteboard in my classroom. It is the size of the normal paper boarders for board decorations, which I personally like better than the skinny 1/4 inch ones I have purchased years prior. They are easily cleaned and don't move/slide like cheaper versions. The magnet is strong enough to hold, but not so strong you cannot easily move them as needed. They arrive in a small box with them rolled up, so I laid them out flat and placed books on them to ensure they were flat. I was slightly worried that it might bubble the pattern away from the magnetic strip, but they did not. They look great, will purchase more if I move to another classroom with more whiteboards.

I didn't realize that these borders actually come with a nice, shiny black treatment on one side and the regular, brown magnet color on the other side. I thought both sides would be the dark brown/black/gray color that magnets are, but I was impressed to see that these aren't just strips of magnets (they come in a set of 12 24"-strips rather than one continuous roll). They really are a true glossy black and look great as a whiteboard border, but I disagree that these are "strong."They go on well enough, and look nice when in place, but they are fairly lightweight and it's a struggle to get them to hold anything even as light as a sheet of easel paper. I thought I could use these both decoratively and practically for a little change of magnet pace, but they are truly meant to just look pretty.

As a teacher, I cannot recommend these enough!!! They are so incredibly easy to use and look fantastic! I'll save so much money over the next couple of years with these. I used them to add a border to my whiteboards. Previously, I would use electrical tape to achieve this look. In all honesty, I have no patience for measuring and the like, so this usually results in crooked lines. I don't have any of those problems with these. Highly recommend! Must Have!

These whiteboard borders are brilliant! They work and look great on my whiteboard at school. They come in strips, so they're easy to put up, move around, and rearrange. I didn't need to, but they'd also be easy to cut to make exact measurements. They instantly bring a little "pizzazz" to the board, but would be great for breaking your board up into sections for each prep, learning target, etc. Highly recommend!

I was using different colors of electrical tape to divide up my classroom board, but I had to take it down every year for cleaning. These wavy magnet strips make it significantly easier to both clean the board and to reorganize the spaces in my board for my lesson needs. The wavy strips add a bit more interesting look than my standard straight ones, although I use those, too. I was a bit worried that the strips wouldn't roll out well or that the little wrinkles they had wouldn't go away, but they eventually did. Overall, I'm happy with them and would definitely recommend them as a "staple" of a teacher's supplies.

I need this in my life! I love using borders to define space in my classroom and have so many magnetic surfaces in my classroom, but usually was using paper border, which doesn't hold up well, is usually expensive to replace when I have to do this a few times in the year, plus it takes time to laminate, cut out, arrange and staple. (I currently have to laminate my border so it can last awhile.) Hello magnetic border - where have you been my whole life???! Finally a solution!!!I ordered the black and white border with dots, and I love how it dressed up my ordinary white board. It is so easy to put up, even easier than conventional border, because it sticks so quickly to the surface, so it was so simple to adjust. Plus the strip length was perfect for my needs. (No needing assistance to have someone hold the other end while I staple it to the board!) Plus, this is definitely going to hold up much better this year compared to paper border, because of how sturdy it is, and will probably be more cost effective, since I won't have to replace the border as often.Plus, I liked the versatility of the border, that it can be used on our magnetic door frame to dress it up, and thought it was also versatile because it would be a fun project to have the children use markers to color in the dots too, with child-safe permanent rainbow colored markers to help personalize border in the art area. I love this border and can't wait to see if they come out with new colors and patterns!
