IMPORTANT: Your tiles must be perfectly aligned. If even one tile protrudes by 1/8″, the bar may not hold properly and could fall.
Not all surfaces are suitable for adhesive strips. Install the bar above a hard surface and away from fragile items, children, or areas where a fall could cause injury (e.g., cupboard doors).
Thoroughly clean the intended surface. Remove all dust, grease, oil, or debris.
Allow the surface to dry completely. This step is critical for achieving maximum adhesive strength.
BEFORE:
Before peeling any protective layers, position the adhesive strips on the backside of the knife bar (the side with holes).
Align them side by side, centered and evenly spaced.
Make sure the red side of the 3M tape faces outward.
Leave small, equal gaps between strips (approximately 1–2 mm).
APPLY STRIPS:
Peel off only the bottom layer of the first strip and firmly press it onto the bar.
Continue one strip at a time, ensuring proper alignment and equal spacing (1–2 mm gaps).
AFTER:
Press firmly on all strips for at least 60 seconds to strengthen the bond.
BEFORE:
Before peeling the outer adhesive layer, hold the bar against the wall and use a level to ensure it is straight.
Mark guide points for accurate placement.
APPLY THE BAR:
Peel off the remaining adhesive layers and carefully position the bar according to your guide marks.
Avoid repositioning after contact, as this may weaken adhesion.
AFTER:
Press firmly along the entire length of the bar for 60 seconds.
Wait 48 hours before placing any knives on the bar to allow full curing.
In most cases, this happens because tiles are not perfectly aligned (even a 1/8″ height difference can affect adhesion).
