Returned a different brand because there was not enough hold for any of my tools. These hold extremely well. Have pretty light material in the photo but attached hammers and other big wrenches and just as sturdy. This product gives me a way to stay organized because these tools always just get tossed in my bench vs having its own spot. Still have two more to mount and very excited how much room I will have for more tools.

This product works well. It can be mounted with (included hardware) to a wall or stick them on a steel pegboard as I did. The magnets are strong but they have their limits. For Instance they will not hold a 4lb hammer but they will pretty much hold any other hand tool from vise grips to wrenches to pliers or smaller pipe wrenches etc. I would buy again.

Very useful for organizing tools on my electronics bench. Instead of having to constantly retrieve my most commonly used tools from my toolbox, I can keep them on the magnetic bar in front of me until the end of the day. The magnet is very strong so I don't have to worry about the tools falling off. It also makes my bench look neat as opposed to having tools laying all over the place. I would highly recommend buying this if your crafts, hobbies or work involves a workbench with a lot of tools.

I made the mistake of letting two of them attach to each other and had to pry them apart with two screwdrivers and a small pry bar. Keep them in the boxes until you're ready to mount/use them and you'll save yourself some trouble. That small inconvenience aside - these are exactly what I needed. Four 12" magnets with a firm grip on screwdrivers, pliers, garden shears and other metal tools

They are too short to attach to adjacent studs, so I mounted them to a 1x1 piece of lumber that was screwed to the studs. I'm glad I did, as the amount of weight thy can hold is very surprising.Some of the items I attached just to see how strong these really are. They held everything, with the log splitter (2.25 kg, 5 lbs.) being about the heaviest that would hold. I don't plan on keeping it there, as there are far more tools I like to have in immediate grabbing range, but it's a great example of what you can store on one of these magnets!Like so many products, the screws provided are countersink heads, but the holes aren't countersunk to match, which leaves things a little ugly, but certainly functional.

These magnetic tool holding strips find themselves in that rarified atmosphere! They are constructed of thick and sturdy painted steel and are loaded with amazingly powerful magnets sufficient to hold most any hand tool.A few years ago, I purchased another set of magnetic tool holders based on Amazon reviewer ratings. Those magnetic strips have performed admirably, but they have difficulty holding large tools (hammers or monkey wrenches) or irregularly shaped tools such as tin snips. For the HM magnetic tool holders, large and irregular tools are a piece of cake to hold securely"”as can be seen in the accompanying pictures. I've mounted two of the magnetic strips on the side of my workbench and am contemplating sticking the other two to a steel tool cabinet. These will help me move tools out of drawers and off pegboards so they can be closer at hand when needed.One caution: The magnets on these tool holders are so powerful that they easily pick up any metal shavings or filings in close proximity. Not only are the filings a little difficult to remove, but they also can produce painful finger pricks during removal. (Ask me how I know...). I would suggest installing them well away from areas where you might grind, drill, or cut steel or iron.This is an excellent product worthy of five stars!

I had a hard time taking a picture of them on my table because they wanted to put together. With a four pack of them, you should have plenty of space to hang tools. They came with some mounting screws and drywall inserts too.

When I took these out of the box I was very impressed with the weight of them and how heavy duty they were, then I went to put them on a metal tool box to hang it and hold on to it cause the magnets went right to the box. I put heavy tools on it to try it out and I didn't even bolt it down and it held everything and never moved when I put the tools on and off. These are really a great tool holder. Comes with screws to hang on wall or wherever needed. For now I just have them on my lid to my boxes til I figure how to organize my tools. And I definitely will be buying more. Very impressive. This held a big heavy hammer also with no problem. This comes with 4-12 inch magnet tool holders.

To be frank, these are probably heavier duty than I really needed; most of my common tools are fairly lightweight for 3D printing and circuitry. Still, I put one of these in my garage for heavier tools, and two of them in my indoor workshop/lab.I do like them - they've got a kind of industrial quality, made of heavy steel. I actually mounted my indoor ones horizontally, just because of the shelving situation I have. The magnetism is weaker this way I know, but it's still plenty string for the tools I'm working with. My garage tool bar is mounted "properly", and it's quite strong.Anyway, these are good, beefy magnet bars that conveniently come in a 4-pack. The hardest part about installing these is probably just prying the 4 bars apart! I'm very happy with them.

This isn't my first rodeo with this type of tool management. I have 2 of these in my basement tinker workshop and love them. They were installed in my last house, 10 years ago, and I removed and reinstalled them at this one. Now these 4 new mounts are in my garage to help with the organization and accessibility of tools. As shown in my picture...5 stars. I love these things. There isn't anything to break on them. They last longer than your house will and don't lose their massive magnetic holding power. Any metal that is attracted to magnets will be held, solidly --- even this 4lb hammer. You must anchor these things solidly because they have tremendous pull to hold the tools. I anchor in wood with the provided screws. They also include masonry anchors. if you need to anchor in drywall, you need to mount something to the drywall first.These ship in a very protected manner - but it's likely that the box won't be perfect since they are heavy. No matter, the parts are fairly indestructible and will easily survive the shippers' drop kicks.Lastly, from experience, the metal bars are covered with paint as a protectant, but with active use of metal on metal, the paint will wear off at the contact points -- which is understandable. I put a light coat of WD40 on these just to prevent any possible rust -- and the WD40 is certainly not bad for my tools. 5 stars.Edit: I just bought another set of 4... great price, great organization.

I did test the magnetic strength with a large hammer and the bar held it with no problem! These are some strong magnets. The integrated mounting brackets make mounting a breeze! If you're like me and you often spend more time searching for a tool than actually performing the needed repair, this can come to your aid. I only spent a few minutes installing each of them, and the included drywall anchors worked fine in those places I was unable to drill into a wood stud. The magnets hold the tools firmly and because each bar only extends 12", the total overall weight does not exceed what the wall anchors can hold.What I appreciate most is the visual display of the tools. I put these in various empty spaces in the garage and now the most frequently used tools can be identified in only a few seconds. Our small garage can't accommodate a full-sized floor-standing tool chest, and the one that I have is full of clutter, so this helps to locate priority tools quickly.

My only complaint is that the supplied plastic bolt holder seems to attach the bolt rather loosely to the wall. There exists a big jiggly gap between the bar and the wall, and when you turn the screws to tighten, the screws keep turning without tightening. Therefore, I have bought some sturdier metal moly bolts to rebolt the bar to the closet wall. Am still giving it five stars because it does the fundamentals well. I just spent about a dozen dollars on an assortment of molybolts. I would have been happier if this company charged fifty cents more and provided sturdier wall attachment hardware.

Perfect for my Wall Control pegboard. Really strong magnet. Holds great against the metal pegboard and holds tools great. Loaded with heavier tools to test at first. It is. Like that the magnets have black tape covering the individual magnets. These are strong enough that it is actually tough to move them. It isn’t necessary but I mounted mine upside down to use the mounting tabs as support braces. I also wanted to make sure they didn’t slide if I was careless, so I actually used some automotive, body panel, push pins, through the mounting hole and pegboard hole to “lock” it into place. Really glad I got these. Now to clean up the work space and fine tune the board.

When I first installed this item, it was only able to hang 5 tools. But by turning the tools from flat to attaching them by their business ends (pliers attached by the gripping area) I am able to hang 18 tools and the handles of most of them are further away from my peg board making for an easy grab in most cases. I was also able to use the sides of the holder to attach two long drill bits and 4 long screwdrivers.

I know it’s not what these magnets are typically used for but it worked out really well. It wasn’t easy to find magnets that were strong enough to keep the heavier knives from sliding down but with these magnets, nothing budges. Nothing moves... the magnets are perfect and everything stays right where you put it.

Loved this product so much I ended up buying a second one. I was looking for a strong magnet to hold hatchets. This product easily holds them. Also using it to hold a fire pit poker. Then I realized that it would be good to have something to hold the hatchets when taking a break from throwing without putting it back in storage. . Bought a second one and it holds them securely at a safe height. I’m think of ways to use this to hold my tools.

Very happy with this magnetic tool holder. It’s super heavy and the magnet is very strong. I’ve been using it near my work station, has no problem hanging tools of any size or weight! Mounts up with two screws. Includes anchors and screws that you can use with drywall or masonry. I just used my own screws to mount to a wood shelf. Works perfect!

The appearance of this tool strip isn't the best (see the finish in my picture), but most people are not getting a magnetic tool holder for looks. And in terms of performance, you're not going to beat this one. The magnets are strong - really strong. The pictures in the listing show some very large tools stuck to this strip and I have no doubt those are legit. I stuck some very large wrenches and other tools on here and they don't come off without a solid tug.In terms of value, this is a little more subjective. You an get other magnetic tool strips for much cheaper, but they are not nearly as strong. So the question is whether you intend to hang heavy tools on here, or just basics screwdrivers and wrenches and other smaller items. If so, a cheaper (and weaker) alternative might suffice. But if you really want a strong hold, this is a great option.
