(1) Clean the non-metal vent surface:
Wipe the vent where the discs will go to remove any dust, grease, or debris. Let the surface dry completely before moving to the next step.

(2) Place the discs magnetically first:
Remove the blue protective film from each disc. Place the discs into the magnet slots of your deflector, making sure they are centered and aligned (each deflector normally has 5 magnets).

(3) Test the position before peeling the adhesive backing:

Adjust your deflector to the correct length for your vent
Hold it against the vent to see exactly where each disc should go
Make sure each disc has full, flat contact with the vent surface

(4) Apply the adhesive & mount slowly:
Peel off the adhesive backing from all discs. Carefully press the deflector against the vent. Do this slowly so the discs stick in the correct locations.

Tip: You can also peel one disc at a time, place the deflector, remove it, and repeat until all discs are attached. Press firmly on each one.

You can now remove and reattach your deflector whenever needed!

I have a vent over my bed, and my room is small so I can't really move it much. I hate the vent blowing on me while I'm sleeping. I have tried cheaper versions of these with little success, but this one works much better.

I had a cheaper one of these, but the magnets were cheap and sometimes it would fall down when the air turned on. It also didn't make a good seal, so I had to tape it up with duct tape. This one is much better and holds itself in place with 5 strong magnets so there is no air gap between it and the vent.

I got the extra long version because I had a shorter one before and the air still came out towards my bed. This one is much longer and really guides the air along the ceiling and not down onto my face. I'm very happy with this one.

My home has low mounted vents for forced-air heat, which makes using them for AC very annoying, as the floor is cold but the upper parts of the room warm. I usually end up using fans to help circulate the air upward, so I was interested in trying this instead.
This actually worked better than expected! At first they don't look like they slide open - when collapsed for shipping the two halves look like one unit and I was afraid I had ordered an incorrect size. But sure enough, they open up easily, and magnetically connected to my HVAC vents instantly! It comes with little magnet adhesive for installation in case your vent plates are not a magnetic metal, but mine worked perfectly out of the box. Couldn't be easier to install, or remove for the winter. They are pretty invisible from a distance, they don't look weird or obvious. They seem to be working well so far, air is blowing at an upward angle. I'm happy with it and would absolutely recommend them!

I got this magnetic vent deflector to help push air from my floor vent toward the middle of the room. The new version with the stronger magnets is legit - it really does stay on. I put it on my ceiling vent and it hasn’t fallen off once, even after a week.
The adjustable part is nice too. I was able to stretch it out to fit my vent perfectly (it goes from about 9 to 16 inches). It’s been doing a good job of directing the air where I want it.
The only downside is that the magnets are really strong. Once it’s stuck on, it’s kind of a pain to slide or adjust it if you want to change the angle. I had to tug on it pretty hard a couple times. It also blocks more airflow than I thought it would, so my room temp doesn’t change up quite as fast when I use it.
Still, it’s a solid product, quite durable, and is compatibile with my standard size vents -- overall, it does what it’s supposed to. I’d buy it again, just with that one thing in mind.

I ordered these magnetic vent covers for a few vents that are in awkward locations and could benefit from redirected airflow.

At first, I thought they weren’t working because one of my vents was not magnetic. After trying them on a different vent, they attached perfectly. I’m assuming the original vent was aluminum or another non-magnetic material.

Once attached to a compatible vent, they’re super easy to install and work exactly as intended.

Overall, these work great, but it’s worth double-checking that your vents are magnetic before ordering.

These magnetic air vent deflectors work great! They stick well to ceiling, wall and floor vents. They are adjustable to get the perfect length. They are super easy to install as you just magnetically add it to the metal vent. I have one installed under my desk to keep air flowing properly, and the others on my basement ceiling vents to prevent from blowing directly onto furniture. The magnets are strong. These stay on well, even when accidentally knocked. These are made of thick heat-resistant plastic. They are durable. I would highly recommend these air deflectors.

This is not a 5 star, but 4.5 star review.
I was looking for larger vent covers because the regular ones only cover half width of the vent so even though air gets redirected, it still not redirected well and still blowing at me that I can feel it.
I found these and they work amazing. Very easy to install, magnets are strong and have a good grip. They cover the whole vent so all air that comes out gets redirected through the opening on one side.
These also have adjustable length, just like regular narrow vents, so it was very easy to make them fit perfectly.
Im very happy with my purchase, but think that the price is a bit too much for them.
Work great though.
Hopefully more sellers will stay selling these, so the price will drop some.
Overall great product, but z I'm taking half the star for the high price.

These are made of a thick plastic that doesn't feel like it's going to crack or warp from the heat. The magnets on the ends are very strong and snap right onto the metal grates on my floor. They're easy to adjust; you just pull them to whatever length you need for your vents. They stay in place once you've set them up.

Most of the grates in my house aren't actually metal, so the double sided tape tabs in the package were necessary. I was skeptical about whether they'd hold up with hot air blowing past the adhesive, but they haven't budged at all. They do a good job of redirecting the air out from under my cabinet and into the middle of the room.

It's a simple solution for a room that's always too cold because the vent is tucked in a corner. I had all 3 installed in about 5 minutes. They aren't particularly stylish, but they function exactly how they should. They've saved me from having to move furniture around just to get some airflow.

I use several heat deflectors in our home near or under furniture. The two characteristics I've never been happy with in my prior deflectors are that I wish they covered a bit more of the vent and that they had stronger magnets to hold them in place better. To be clear, I use the term "magents" loosely when it comes to my prior deflectors. Their magnets seem more like a few pieces of metal attached to the plastic just for show.

The quality of these deflectors is on a whole different, significantly better level. Given the thicker and seemingly higher-quality plastic, they slide more smoothly, with virtually no wiggle, and stay at the width you choose. Importantly, not only are there more magnets on each of these deflectors than on my prior units, but they are also effective at holding the deflector in place on the vent. For context, my vents are brass, so the fact that these magnets hold so well really speaks to the overall quality, and makes "installing" these super easy. In addition, the tops extend farther over the vent. Plus, for whatever reason, these look a lot better, even ignoring how dirty my old deflectors were.

Given the above, I really wish I'd seen and gotten these years ago. For the quality, looks, and price, these are a great value, and I'm going to be buying another set.

These vent covers perform exactly as described. I ordered the 3.5" size because our vents are 5" deep and the 7.5" size would have been too big.

The magnet strength is outstanding. The instructions suggest that you turn the cover upside down (magnets up) to set the length to match your vent and then flip it over to attach, to avoid having to move it and potentially scratching your floor. This is a great suggestion, but not because I think it will scratch the floor - because the magnets are so strong that you will have trouble changing the length once it's stuck! I don't see this cover moving unless I move it.

The thickness of the plastic is great. These seem very durable and sturdy. I do not expect them to crack or fall apart; they seem very well made.

They are super easy to adjust; just slide it apart or together to match the width of your vent. They stand about 2 1/2" tall, so if you're using it to redirect air from a vent covered by a piece of furniture (like I am) just make sure it will fit under the furniture first. I have one dresser that is over a vent and this cover will fit under it nicely, because the dresser isn't flat with the floor, but I can't use it with the vent that's covered by a side table that doesn't have 2 1/2" of clearance (not impacting my review at all, I'm just commenting).

We are very glad to have ordered these deflectors. I have some already under our couch, but they are on the "taller" side, so it does scrape under the couch. These are low profile, and that's a great thing, as it is great for vents that are under couches or furniture.
The adjustable function is great as well, as it covers a lot of vent sizes - from normal , to the slightly bigger ones.
The magnetic strength on these are great! They will not budge easily. The plastic is made of quality and sturdy material sure to last for years (especially ours, since it's under the couch)
Also, these being on the wider side not only deflects more heat/cold out of the vent, but it also protects your vent from falling debris.
Overall great quality sure to last for years.

Sometimes you need to redirect ventilation slightly to feel the air or heat better in a room which is why I ordered this. These were really easy to adjust the width of since they simply slide left and right as needed. I really appreciate the strong magnets used to keep these in place. Included are also adhesive tabs in case you need even better holding power. I am only using one so I have spare if I ever need it. Because my vents are on the floor I did not need to use the adhesive tabs. At my prior home I had vents on the walls and I did not have this kit so it did not come with adhesive tabs so I had to duct tape them in place which did not look so great but got the job done. I would have preferred to have had these handy tabs instead. I like that these are clear but I think it would be nice if they also offered color options to match vents too. These are a thicker heavier duty plastic then the ones I used at my prior home so they should last longer.

I got this set of "Powerful Magnetic Vent Air & Heat Deflectors (3 Pack) for use under some beds as we have a couple vents under there that just blast the heat upwards. This set was perfect to use since it sticks in place by way of magnets and they worked well to redirect airflow from our floor vents. They were easy to install - just snap them into place - and they stay put securely. I noticed a difference in how the air is distributed, especially in rooms that used to feel uneven in temperature. I didn't try them on any ceiling vents but given how well they worked I feel confident they would stay in place there too.

I have numerous heat registers and have had variants of this deflector on many of them. These come in differing degrees of quality. Some barely hold together. Some of really solid. This 2 pack falls in the latter category. These are solidly built with strong magnets to hold them in place. A nice feature on these is they come with sticky additions that you can use to attach to a non-magnetic register, like a wood one for example. Absolutely nothing bad to say about these. Made in the USA. Price is certainly worth it. 5 stars

I've tried a few vent deflectors over the years, and this one is by far the most secure and functional. The magnetic hold is strong, and once in place it does not shift or fall off - even on a ceiling vent.

Installation took seconds. I simply lined it up with the vent, and the magnets grabbed immediately. The adjustable length ensured a perfect fit.

The deflector redirects air very well. I partially work from home and given my home office arrangement, I sit directly under the vent. During the summer, I freeze. The deflector sends the air away perfectly.
The plastic has good clarity and is barely noticable when entering or exiting the room - it does not catch the eye.

Overall, this is one of those small upgrades that makes a real difference & was possibly the easiest DIY I've ever done. If you need to control air flow, this is the simple no-hassle way to do it.

I picked this up hoping to make a small improvement to how air moves through my space, and it ended up being one of those simple upgrades that actually makes a noticeable difference. Right out of the box it felt straightforward and easy to figure out, which I always appreciate.

Getting it set up took almost no time. It clicks into place easily and feels secure once it is on. I have adjusted it a couple of times just to get the airflow where I want it, and it has stayed put without any fuss.

What I like most is how it quietly improves comfort. The room feels more even now, and I am not dealing with that awkward blast of air in one spot anymore. It just sort of does its job in the background.

The adjustable length is also really handy. I have used it in two different areas and did not have to think twice about whether it would fit. Having a second one in the pack was a nice bonus since I ended up needing it sooner than expected.

Overall, it feels like a thoughtful, well made product that solves a small but annoying problem. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for an easy way to make your space feel a bit more comfortable. The magnets are fantastic, and it doesn't feel too heavy!

I picked these up to replace some older deflectors that finally cracked, and the difference in magnet strength is noticeable right away. They snap onto the vent and actually stay put instead of shifting around if you bump them or adjust airflow. Installation took a few seconds and they felt secure immediately.
I’ve been using them under a bed and a couch where vents usually get blocked, and they do a good job pushing the air out into the room instead of letting it get trapped. It’s helped move air toward the thermostat more evenly, which makes the space feel less uneven temperature wise.
They feel like a solid upgrade over the ones I had years ago, especially in how well they stay in place and direct airflow where you actually want it.

I am so happy that I have these. I have a vent under my bed. Closer to the one side and it is the other so after putting this, I was able to feel the heat more in the room rather than using that little plastic heat diverter which am my opinion is not great at all, but this really does push the heat right under the bed and actually fills the room with warmth. I am always very cold and sometimes I can go hypothermic for no reason, but now that the room actually heats up I don’t struggle as much when I’m home or in bed.

Our home is an older home, built back in 1954, when there wasn't as much thought put into where furnace vents were placed in relation to things like windows that will have curtains hanging just above floor level. As can be seen in the image, the living room window curtain hangs right at the point where the vent is. If there is any bulging when it's pulled back, as in the image, this can hangover the vent, which means the warm air gets directed into the area behind the curtain instead of out into the living room. I have used other similar deflectors in the past, but they only had one magnet at each end. This worked ok till one of the pups bumped into it, or while pulling the curtain open, my foot would hit the deflector, and I don't even want to mention the destruction caused by our robot vac.

Having five magnets is a great idea. Our robot vac backs up when it contacts this thing. Sure, it gets slightly shifted, but not to the point where the deflector no longer does what it's supposed to.

As can be seen in the picture, this fits over the whole vent. I can see where other sizes of vents (width) might not get the full benefit. Length-wise, this easily fits over the longest vents I have seen. Changing the length is non-technical; no tools are required. One half slides in grooves on the other. They do not need to lock in together since the magnets hold each section in place.

In addition to the five vs two magnets on these, the plastic is also thicker than the others. I expect that they will be more durable over time. They are more expensive than the others. As I write this review, they are selling for $59.95, and this is the reason I'm only giving four stars. If they were more reasonably priced, I would order again, as we have other vents that are also poorly placed, as far as curtains or movable cabinets are concerned.

I needed to divert air to where I sit on the (instead of blowing on the adjacent wall) and this was perfect for my needs. The magnets are very strong--snapped on immediately without any hesitation. You can easily adjust them to the width necessary and there were no cracks for the air to escape. Because they are completely clear all around, you don't even notice them over the vent or on the ceiling, so no eye sore whatsoever. Great quality and highly recommended

Listen - I cried tears of JOY when I came across this product! Okay, I didn't cry, but I COULD HAVE! For three summers now, I have been sitting in my spot on the couch suffering under 52 blankets because my husband insists on keeping the house 68* (yes, you read that right). It's ridiculous - I literally FREEZE because the vent blows directly on me. And for three summers now, I have brainstormed about what I could do to redirect the air from the vent so it doesn't blow directly onto me... I had NO IDEA they made vent deflectors!!! Every now and then, you come across a product that literally changes your life. Sure, it may sound dramatic to you, but this vent deflector is literally going to change my life!

The deflector comes with super strong magnets or double sided foamy tape - pick your poison. All you gotta do is literally pop it over your vent and BAM! No more suffering!

Make sure you measure your vents first because apparently vents come in different sizes. The size I chose (single vent - 9.2” to 16”) is currently priced at $29.99 which might seem crazy for a simple piece of plastic, but I don't care - I'd sell my first born for this thing.

This magnetic vent air and heat deflector is a solid product overall and does what it’s supposed to do quite well. The magnets are really strong, and once installed, it stays firmly in place without slipping or falling off. That’s definitely one of its best features, especially for ceiling and wall vents.

Installation was very easy - no tools needed. Just adjust the size and stick it on. I also like that it comes with 3M adhesive options for non-magnetic surfaces, which makes it more versatile.

In terms of performance, it helps redirect airflow effectively and makes a noticeable difference in controlling room temperature and comfort. It’s especially useful for avoiding direct airflow on beds, desks, or seating areas.

The build quality feels decent and durable, and it should hold up well over time under normal use.

The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the adjustment range could be a bit smoother, and it takes a little trial and error to position it perfectly for optimal airflow. Also, depending on vent size, the fit may not feel 100% seamless in all cases.

I have these vent deflators all around my house especially under furniture. They do an excellent job of deflecting the heat and distributing it more evenly around the house. Made of quality plastic that can easily be pulled sideways to extend it based on the register size. The magnets are strong and sticks to the register securely. If your register is plastic it comes with magnetic strips to stick on them.

These magnetic vent air deflectors come with 2 of them in the package. Also included are little stickers to use if the vent you want to use these on are not metal. I think including these are a bonus for those that do not have metal vent covers. I have metal ones. The magnets on the deflectors are super strong. In fact when I pull on the deflector the vent cover lifts as well. The quality of deflectors do the job. Upon first inspection, I find the deflectors flex a bit which makes me think the plastic may be weak, but once the deflectors are in place they do the job they are expected which is to redirect the air flow. The only negative to me is the price. I find them quite expensive.
