The knife bar can either be attached to the wall or simply be attached to the side of your fridge. Both sides (front & back) are designed with 3 separate, full lines of HEAVY-DUTY MAGNETS. Avoid trying weak & unsecured magnetic knife holders! (especially for fridge mounting) The powerful heavy-duty magnets on the backside will instantly attach to your fridge, and the strong front side magnets will hold the knife securely in place – there’s no need to shift the knife around for it to hold securely, yet it’s easy to lift any knife off the holder with a gentle pull.

We recommend holding one end of it and detaching the other end.

No. Usually the front side is not magnetic.

Clean the bar with a damp cloth and then make sure to dry it off. Clean as often as you need.

We use a higher quality stainless steel (type 304) than others (type 201). The 304 type has a higher corrosion resistance.
Make sure you dry off your knives before placing them on the bar. If you see rust spots, use water and baking soda to clean them off.

The bar is an all-in-one piece and should not be separated.

Yes. You have 2 options:

  1. Use the double-sided fridge applicable knife holder and simply place it on the side of your fridge.
  2. Use strong double-sided tape. Make sure you place vertical strips on the entire back side of your bar (less recommended method).

Magnets may interfere with the operation of pacemakers. Keep a distance of at least 6 inches from the magnet bar.
The bar should be installed Horizontally and the knives should be placed vertically. Fridge mounting – For maximum safety, we recommend placing the bar ONLY on the side of your refrigerator (a static position), and not on its door, in a high enough position so it will be away from children’s reach, and above a hard surface (i.e. kitchen counter). Make sure the intended mounting surface of your fridge is 100% flat and without bumps.

    So easy to put up, and it's very, very strong. I don't have to worry about my granddaughter reaching the knives at all or even being able to pull the knives off if she does. We live in a rented town home and I loved that this sticks to my refrigerator and I don't have to drill into my wall. (Not that there's that much kitchen wall space!) I will definitely recommend this to my friends, and may even buy a couple for gifts!

It will also hold any size knife or even your largest cleaver. The only negative is the price, but as I've frequently found-you get what you pay for and what you get is a quality product.

    I love everything about this magnetic knife bar! I only wish I had not purchased it sooner! I have mine on the refrigerator since I did not have an area on the wall in the kitchen suitable to hang it. I had previously just used knife sheaths (good ones), however, I never felt that was a safe way to store them. Now that I have the magnetic bar, my knives and scissors are more easily and quickly available as well as being "stored" in a manner which is much safer than in the drawer..

My husband (my personal professional chef) has 2 sets of really nice culinary knives and 1 set of steak knives in 3 blocks - this holds the entirety of one cooking set and decreased our counter top clutter by a full block set.     This product is AWESOME. I have a small kitchen and all my wall space has tiles, I really didn’t want to drill any holes anywhere. I bought the fridge mount hoping it would be strong enough to do the job. Holy cow! The magnet is so strong it zipped over to the fridge right out of my hands from a few inches away! I feel that my knives, which are very expensive, are in excellent and safe storage! It looks nice too! Also, the customer service is incredible. I got a personal email to check on my package and my satisfaction before it even arrived.I am 100 percent satisfied, both with the product and with the company. 10/10 would recommend!
