We ordered this knife holder because our knives were getting banged up in the drawer. We want them to stay sharp longer and we want them to last for as long as possible. We looked at magnetic holders for hours and this was the prettiest one we saw. The only problem we had was that this holder uses a screw mount. We didn't want to drill into our tile so we used some double-sided Gorilla tape to mount it. It worked perfectly as you can see in the pictures. This is truly the most beautiful knife holder, especially if you appreciate the awesomeness of walnut.

I have maple cabinets so when I found this knife strip, I gave it a shot. The wood is nicely finished. And wow, the magnets are strong! It even holds my honing tool. The magnet is strong enough that I twist the knives to remove them from the block easily. I mounted it with 3M extreme duty velcro since I didn't want to drill through my tile, and it easily holds the full knife block.

4.5 stars. This is a great holder. The magnet is very strong, and the look is great. My only complaint is that the holes to hang the holder are not wide enough to allow you to drill into studs. You have to drill into the drywall and use the plastic studs and then drill in the screws. Not a deal breaker, but it would be a great upgrade. Also, this is the 24" holder (Large). A 26" or 28" would be nice, and it would address the drilling issues I mentioned above. Otherwise, highly recommend. You'll love it.

Bought a couple of these to display my fixed blades. Was a bit worried the magnet would have been too weak to hold these since I believe it's intended primarily for lighter weight kitchen knives, but it does great. While the magnets are strong enough on their own, the guard on the knives keeps a portion of the weight supported. I'll be ordering some in shorter lengths to display a few more. I was planning on putting this behind the bed, but figured it probably wasn't the best idea to sleep under knives held up by magnets....Also, I have read nothing about magnets impacting the metallurgy of steel so I'm pretty confident using this method for knives, even some of my rather pricier ones.Only negative I'd say is the selection of materials, I wish there were a few more wood choices. Install is easy and if you even remotely know what you're doing, it will mount pretty solidly.

This holder looks great and it's super strong magnet(s) grab your knives and securely holds knives in place. This knife holder gives you a sense of peace of mind that your knives are safe and others in your household are safe from falling knives. This is the one to get!I bought the first 24" bar in August 2023 and I just added a second one in December 2023 to replace another brand that was not strong enough to secure my knives. I actually had a knife fall of the cheaper bar and almost stabbed my wife! I don't worry about the finish as some other reviewers have complained about it- if you have enough knives, you'll barley see the finish. So if this becomes a problem, simply buy more knives ;-) You are welcome for the excuse to buy more knives.

It came with a template to hang so you don't have to figure it out which is great, but if you don't have it stretched out perfectly it will be off by a hair. Sort of a big deal when you're going through tile which may have been our problem since the tile doesn't allow anything to lay flat. We got it up though and now that its there - we love it. Fits all our knives and feels nice and solid. Love the color.

I had previously brought a 12 . knife rack at a department store that cost far more. When I saw this one, I didn't think it would work since it was twice the size and one third the price. This knife holder allowed me to ditch my knife block and free up counter space. It's made with nice material that doesn't twist the knifes. I found that wide blade knifes hold the best, but the little ones do stay. The magnet is strong and holds everything tight. It is a great organizing tool for my kitchen, highly recommended.

Certain knives (far left) pivot on this for some reason, which leads me to believe that magnet strength inconsistent but strong when present. Item arrived with a corner ding as well that looks like it was banged against some white paint or something, which is weird since nothing in the package it arrived in is white.I did not use the accompanying screws and mount since I have a tile backsplash, Instead used 3M VHB tape or similar heavy duty double side bonding tape. Currently when I peel knives (or pans) off the magnet, it doesn't even flex in either direction, so if you don't want to mount via screw, VHB will do you solid.24"

I've a lot of knives and wanted a longer knife bar to hold them. My prior 16" bar wasn't long enough. This is an attractive dark walnut wood magnetic knife bar that is a full 24 inches long. The magnets are built in under the walnut and hold very firmly.The T Slot keyhole mounting holes on the rear require VERY careful alignment with the holes to be drilled into my wall. The anchors must be flush and the screw heads need to stick out about an eighth inch. Try the fit BEFORE screwing in the screws too far as if the anchor spins when you attempt to unscrew the screw, you're screwed! Because I have and older home with lath & plaster on many walls I used a different anchor than the 4 plastic ones provided. Only 2 are needed and there are 2 sets provided (4 screws & 4 anchors). There is also a template to mark the wall for drilling. There is NO room for error, the holes must be spot on or the bar will not mount. Even with care I had a bit of difficulty but was satisfied with the results and look. The bar sits almost flush to my wall. A bead of glue will add security if you feel it is needed beyond only 2 anchor points (I used that also).A through the bar hole with a plug might have been easier though would detract from the appearance. The installation is finicky but on a normal plasterboard hollow wall would be easier than my application. This has good strong magnet hold without any chance of knife blade damage as it is wood.I Recommend this HMmagnets Store Premium 24 Inch (Large Size) Dark Walnut Wood Magnetic Knife Holder .“ Professional Wooden Magnetic Knife Strip - Space-Saving Knife Rack/Knife Bar With Powerful Magnetic Pull Force (Upgraded Version). This is a simple product but it works well to not only store your knives within easy reach but also display them.It's nicely finished, contains strong magnets which hold even large knives securely, the back has nice keyhole screw slots for flush mounting, and they include mounting screws, drywall plugs, and a handy template for mounting.I was mounting mine on tile and decide to use mounting tape *Gorilla brand double-sided mounting tape in my case). I just sanded the back of the block to roughen it up a bit to provide some tooth (the finish is very smooth and quite durable), clean the tile with alcohol, and stuck it on.Then it's just a matter of placing the knives. This will hold about 7-8 knives (+/- depending on the size/shape) and it's strong enough to provide a firm, positive hold but not so strong that you've got to struggle to remove the blades.Overall a great addition to a kitchen and way better than having knives rattling around in drawers getting chipped.

Great product. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, but there is one thing that could be changed slightly or at least paid attention to. If the screw does not go into the wall perfectly perpendicular than the angle of the screw head allows the walnut to shift one of two directions and can make it seem like it will fall off the wall. Actually minded fall off the wall once, you can see where it took a chunk out of the counter

( off for other projects) and it doesn’t move. You will need better anchors if going into drywall though. If that’s my only complaint, that’s great. Highly recommended item. Looks amazing.

Looks very nice! The magnets go all the way to the ends and they are very strong. The template is about 1mm off so be careful when installing. We used our own anchors because the ones it came with aren't very good so just toss those out.

I have not installed this yet, I like the look of the wood. It’s a nice thick strip with magnetic power for any knife. I am showing in the picture of the hold of a knife completely upside down, not that you would ever use it like this, I did that for this review to show the power of the magnetic wood. I thought I could just use nails and it would work the same, since I do not have a drill to use what came with it, but nope, it just flips out of the holes in the back of the wood, I’ve shown in the pic. I will get a drill and install it correctly and update if the problem still exists. I don’t expect it to, since the anchor and screws that came with it, were meant to fit into the hole perfectly.

This maple magnetic knife strip is the nicest one I’ve ever owned and also the strongest. I have to say I’m blown away with the quality and installation ease. I’m fairly handy but not great with a drill. I was able to install this myself. The stencil that comes with the product makes alignment EASY. Make sure you have a level handy and of course your drill. I definitely recommend this product if you want an upscale take on the classic magnetic strip.

Recently got a new knife set and wanted to take better care of them.Instead of having a knife block we got one of these so they can air out and I think it looks nicer.It also saves us room on our counter top.Install was pretty easy once we got everything aligned.It fits and holds our 6 knife set perfect.Not sure if it would hold more, but it’s great for our use and definitely recommend!

Summary: The first magnet knife holders I put in our kitchen were metal/plastic, and after a time, I realized that the wood ones are much nicer.Pros: Excellent fit & finish; includes template and mounting hardware; magnets are very strong.Cons: None.Conclusion: At $40, this is a little expensive, but the workmanship is excellent, and the wood is perfect, so 5-stars!

Good quality wood though installation was a smidge difficult because the holes are the exact size of the screw heads. It will be very sturdy, though!
