No. As long as you use it correctly, a magnetic knife holder will not damage your knives. Simply make sure that when you remove a knife that you don't apply pressure on the blade.

The package includes one wood magnetic knife holder, instructions, a mounting stencil, 4 screws and 4 anchors.

No. The magnet bar will never lose its magnetic pull force under normal conditions.

Clean the bar with a damp cloth and then make sure to dry it off. Clean as often as you need.

You can place your magnetic knife holder in many places:

  • On your kitchen wall/tiles.
  • Above the stove
  • On the side of your cabinet

Yes. You can hang a magnetic knife holder vertically. However, if you are placing heavy things on it, such as knives, it is recommended to mount it horizontally for safety reasons.

Mount your knife holder by drilling:

  1. Use a stencil to mark the holes.
  2. Drill 2 holes. Start with one hole first and then the second one. This will ensure they are marked properly.
  3. Insert the anchors and screws (make sure only the screw head is out).
  4. Place the bar over the screws.

At the moment, we only have 16 inches in walnut or maple.

Yes. Use strong double-sided tape. Make sure you place vertical strips on the entire back side of your bar (this is the less recommended method).

Yes. However, you will need a knife holder with very strong magnetic pull force.

The distance between the center of both holes is 13" (33CM)

5mm drill bit. We recommend starting with a 4mm one and work your way up.

5-9 knives depending on the size of your knives.

Inches - 16 (L) x 2 (W) x 0.94 (H)
Centimeters - 40.6 (L) x 5.1 (W) x 2.4 (H)

If they have enough surface area in contact with the bar, then the answer is yes.

While it might hold them, it is not recommended. You should use a magnetic tool holder specifically designed to hold heavy tools.

No. The wooden version only comes in 16".

No. The only version we offer that sticks to a fridge is made of stainless steel and not wood.

Yes. It is made of walnut wood.

works well, sturdy, magnets completely enclosed and cannot be lost. It's finished which I like less but some will love more. I most prefer my unfinished walnut knife blocks from koruto out went with this one because they didn't offer it in this length. Very happy with it.

Recently got a new knife set and wanted to take better care of them.Instead of having a knife block we got one of these so they can air out and I think it looks nicer. It also saves us room on our counter top.Install was pretty easy once we got everything aligned. It fits and holds our 6 knife set perfect. Not sure if it would hold more, but it’s great for our use and definitely recommend!

This knife holder works great. It's relatively easy to mount, just using two screws on the backside. It has an attractive wooden appearance. Most importantly, the magnet is easily strong enough to hold my knives. It has no problem gripping even some of my larger and heavier knives, so I never need to worry about anything falling in the kitchen. The bar is long enough to comfortably hold half a dozen or so knives, depending on their sizes. Very much recommended.

Recently we noticed that our wooden knife block had begun to smell, to our horror it was rotting and we needed a replacement but we didn't want to go with another knife block lest it befall the same fate. Thankfully we found this alternative. With this there's no chance for moisture buildup and it doesn't take up space on the counter. A win-win for sure! The only thing I wish was different was alternative mounting options. It only gives you the option for keyhole mounting and the kitchen space this was going into is a rental and we're not allowed to put any holes in the wall. But we found some non-damaging mounting tape that works well with this.

I do not like blocks for knives to be kept in for two reasons one it takes of counterspace into it always seems to dull the knives faster. With that said, I was in search of something that would melt them on the wall clearing them from the counter space keeping them available when needed. I do like the aesthetics of the wood, it’s very pretty. I have natural wood cabinets so it kind of goes along with my theme anyway. Good knives that I own are Dal-strong knives. They are a very thick metal making it heavy. And the magnet is strong enough to hold it up. I only have one knife I have an issue with and that is my fillet knife. The thin and long blade design of that particular knife makes it harder for the magnet to hold onto. There is no design flaw of the knife or the magnet. My other small Pairing knives work fine because there’s not as much weight as there is with the long blade of the fillet knife. Again to clarify My chef knife, bread knife, santoku knife all are held tight because of the wide blade. Am I overall assessment of this magnet is positive even at the extra cost.

This Premium 16 Inch Dark Walnut Wood Magnetic Knife Holder is just what I was looking for- a simple design of wood that keeps a strong grip on my knives. The magnets in this item are very strong, and I have had no trouble hanging even my heaviest knives. It's easy to reach, store and retrieve the knives from this bar, and the maintenance of the wood is easy, with a light oiling now and again. There are two screw slots in the back, and this comes with the screws, plastic inserts for drywall, as well as a cardboard guide for drilling holes. This is a simple wooden bar, and looks unobtrusive and stylish in my kitchen.
